DAY 3928: SATURDAY MARCH 3RD 2012.
DAY 47 WITHOUT SHELTER.
The government brought in yet another new and authoritarian law (The Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2012) to try and remove our ten year 24/7 campaign.
Yet while our tents (and contents) were then stolen on January 16th 2012, by the police who dishonestly briefed the media that they used the new law, when no direction or paperwork using the new law was in fact provided.
And revealingly we are not being taken to court and prosecuted, where we would have the opportunity to defend ourselves.
So due process and the concept of being innocent until proven guilty etc of some "crime" has thus been dispensed with, while the government seeks to curtail our campaign and political beliefs by denying us the most basic of needs, shelter.
This has caused considerable hardship because our shelter was taken in the middle of winter, with unsurprisingly no thought given to the fact that government agencies do have a duty of care towards the people.
We are however committed to continuing the campaign by maintaining a 24/7 presence to reflect the gravity of the situation and our commitment to change, where so many innocent civilians are suffering and dying in the illegal wars of aggression waged by the UK government.
An online e-petition against the new law, has therefore been started while we have also started collecting signatures in Parliament Square too, for the petition.
Anyone from anywhere around the world is welcome to sign, so we can show the government that respect for life is universal amongst the people.
Thank you to everyone who has signed so far and if you would like to sign there is the on - line link here.
Alternatively you can sign a paper version if you are passing by our campaign in Parliament Square.
