THE ORWELLIAN DIAMOND JUBILEE. DAY 4022: TUESDAY JUNE 5TH 2012.  "alterations & repairs" Several weeks ago when the Queen visited HM government, for the State Opening, it took one and a half hours to "search"... the err...back of our display.  Yet today, when the Queen was having lunch in Westminster Hall in the Palace of Westminster for her Diamond Jubilee, and the word out and about was security, security, security....there was zip, zilch, nada in terms of any "search" of our display....  sniffy pup Later however it did become somewhat....unadulterated, in your face... 1984. George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four.....  “....of paralyzing stupidity...a mass of imbecile enthusiasms...completely unquestioning...devoted drudges on whom, more than even the thought police, the stability of the Party depended.” And as papers we have seen, show is part of a new policing “policy”, a member of our campaign was stopped on the edge of Parliament Square for “walking with purpose” and searched on “suspicion of (the further non-crime) going equipped to cause criminal damage”.  "walking with purpose" and "suspicion of going - equipped - to cause criminal damage". When the member of our campaign declined to inform Sergeant Goodwin of his “intentions” there was a build up of police, to intimidate ??, before they were then "dispersed" and our campaign member "released".  Upon sitting down, in Parliament Square however, another police officer  "police farce"..indeed. Sergeant Hall from Edmonton, then approached Babs and claimed that an unknown "member of the public" who the police declined to identify ?? had “complained” !! to the police: a) that Babs had a loudspeaker b) the unknown snitch was worried Babs might use it and "say something the Queen might not like"  If such a dishonest person had in fact existed they certainly had a fertile imagination, because no-one could possibly have "seen" Babs with a loudspeaker she did not have and of which Babs pointed out the police had STOLEN ....four.  MEDIA SPINS The police officer retreated with words to the effect that while having a loudspeaker was not a crime, using it would be arrestable. Really ? (which would be interesting...for Westminster City Council ....to explain) I'd hazard a guess it was most likely, "the member of the public" was Sky News and/or the BBC who were a litle bit worried about Babs putting out some truth or another (there are so many to share), during ....their ...live feeds... around the world !! Which is not a bad idea when you think about it ? :) Anyway, next up, several white male yobs, then bizarrely thought they could hide our.. Peace Flags.  Mr Taxi man: a bully who had not considered...that people had ..freedom of expression... Which we calmly pointed out they could not. They then began encouraging people to - chant - that we should take the Peace Flags down, but when Babs started to film them, the gang of bullies immediately shut up, not wanting to be filmed... bullying...the Peace Campaign over... the errr...Peace Flags !! They then got a brief lecture about how there was obviously still work to be done educating people about ......errr...that thing called ....freedom of expression. Which íncluded that no-one should be arrested, dragged before the courts and lose their jobs while - peacefully - exercising .....freedom of expression.....  Not long after !!!!... another police officer once again approached our campaign and bizarrely asked if Babs would take the Peace Flags down when the Queen came out of Parliament. Babs declined such a bizarre request, pointing out they were ....errr...Peace Flags for goodness sakes, in amongst thousands of British Flags. The police officer retreated. A white male then took it upon himself to ....tear down the Peace flags and got as far as tearing one down before he was stopped, by our Jago (who has caught the incident on video and posted it on facebook)  horses arses: natural justice for the not so goody two shoes royalists It was a truly appalling display of uncivilized behaviour from a section of the... oh not so goody two shoes Royal Flag waving brigade. And it was quite extraordinary that the Peace Flags should have been such a focus of hate from a few Royal Flag wavers. (The Peace Flags were also torn down the previous weekend) The controversy of our Peace Flags is like something straight our of the book 1984 "....all war films...audience much amused by shots of man......through helicopter gunsights..then sea around him turned pink and he sank as suddenly as though the holes had let in the water. audience shouting with laughter when he sank....." (George Orwell 1984)  flag damager giving his details to the...police. It was a sad ending to the Jubilee, because in fact the past few days had passed relatively peacefully in amongst so many royalists, many of whom like having a queen but do not approve of the wars.  one that got away... However one came to see that - today - the fuss over our Peace Flags was too contrived. What seems most likely, is that the hardly controversial Peace Flags could be seen above the soldiers on horseback, which for some completely unfathomable reason caused consternation amongst an unknown circle of ....people who frankly must be weirdos.  After the man who had torn the flag down sought to flee, only to be followed by a member of our campaign, who was in turn followed by ...police !!!! .... the man tried lying about what he had done, IN FRONT OF HIS SON !!!!, before not wanting in his cowardice, to give - us - his details, he finally managed, IN FRONT OF HIS SON, to offer an apology...but only ...to avoid the inevitable arrest for - genuine - err...criminal damage... And one really does wonder what on earth he thought he was teaching his son ?  Sergeant Goodwin and the white male who really did go "equipped" and ...did ...commit....criminal damage....IN FRONT OF HIS SON !!  Welcome to 1984 !!!!
